Today is the first day of football. I don’t care that the Redskins and Giants played on Thursday in what the NFL has coined Kickoff Weekend. However, for the past 10 years in my household it has been known as Football Thanksgiving and it doesn’t fall on the premature Thursday game the NFL added a few years ago, but on the first Sunday of Football Season. More specifically, the first Dallas Cowboys game of the actual Football season.
In fact about 5 years ago, I used Football Thanksgiving as a case study for my ebook How to Get an Online Business Up and Running in 7 Days. As part of that case study, I promoted the site on day 7 with a press release on PRWeb. Since that one press release posting, my husband and I have been called for interviews by the Washington Post and several national radio shows. It is funny to us in our house, not the holiday or Dallas Cowboys football, which we are very serious about, but the media attention does make us chuckle since it’s just a thing we do.
