Laura B. Poindexter is the principal of laura b creative, a small business marketing and graphic design studio in Sterling, Virginia that opened in 2000. She has served as a Senior Marketing Analyst for international telecom company, Equant. Prior to that, she worked in the sporting goods industry for over 10 years directing a wide variety of marketing programs from logo design to catalog photo shoots to international billboard campaigns.
She specializes in low cost marketing strategies for small businesses and publishes a monthly newsletter, Marketing Buzz, exploring one low cost marketing strategy in depth each issue, bringing you the latest ideas and innovations from the trenches. She prefers to keep her client list short so she can give appropriate attention to each client. She begins with establishing a marketing strategy for each client and then helps the client find the most economical way to implement the strategy.
Laura has recently honed her focus to help her clients set up and produce email newsletters through her partnership with Constant Contact. She offers help with planning, design and writing.
Her clients include a retail and online sporting goods store, automotive shop, martial arts school, wellness company, mortgage wholesaler, life coach, and a gift basket service.
She also owns Meritage Fitness Lab, a community of fitness enthusiasts whose motto is: friends, fitness and the occasional glass of red wine. Meritage Fitness Lab offers online personal training and encouragement along with a slate of fun activities for the fitness-minded.
